About the Choirs:
CANTARE (touring choir)
- Mixed choir ages 9-15+ unchanged voices (some exceptions may be considered)
- Choir Size: 60 singers
- Repertoire/Activities: Primarily Classical and some additional genres such as International Folk or Spirituals; multiple performances and musical collaborations through the season
- Rules/expectations: Enthusiasm, respectful attitude, preparation, attendance
PRIMA VOCE
- Mixed choir ages 6-8
- Choir Size: 20 singers
- Repertoire/Activities: Unison, rounds, 2-part singing; pitch, rhythm, basic solfeggio, learning through play; will join Cantare for 1-2 concerts per semester
- Rules/expectations: Enthusiasm, respectful attitude, preparation, attendance
Auditions:
- August 14th, 2024
- 4:30 – 5:30pm returning singers
- 5:30 – 6:30pm new singers
- Washington Fields Intermediate (322 W 3090 S, Washington, UT 84780)
Rehearsal:
- 4:30-5:30pm WEDNESDAYS
- Location: Washington Fields Intermediate School
Fees:
- Tuition: $330 per year ($165 per semester) which includes folder, music and t-shirt.
- Concert Dress: ~$65 concert dress fee for girls (includes concert dress) and $35 for boys (includes vest, tux shirt, and tie; boys required to furnish their own black dress pants). All singers will be required to have black dress shoes and socks/nylons.
- Additional fees may apply for tours and festivals.
- Tuition & fees may be paid via venmo to @stgeorgechambersingers or by check to “St. George Children’s Choir.” A limited number of scholarships may be available.
